I had a 50+ year old shed on a 3" concrete slab in my backyard that needed removing. In researching debris removal, I saw that Barten did shed removal. They arrived the same day to give an immediate estimate and were there two days later to do the demolition. They were communicative and extremely thorough. I know the concrete removal was tough but it was taken care of and the backyard is spotless. I couldn't be happier.

Prompt, courteous & efficient. They brought a crew of 6 ready-to-work men who got right to the task at hand, which was to empty 35 years of accumulated “stuff”. Even though I had labeled everything that I want removed with blue painters tape, they still double checked on items they felt I may have mislabeled. They left all 3 floors broom clean. Price was very reasonable for the amount of work necessitated by us not purging anything over those 35 years. Highly recommended.

We would like to thank the incredible guys (specifically, Mike, Miguel, Alex, Jose, Fabian, Josh and Andy) at Barten Bros. I asked for their names because they deserved the acknowledgement. They were unbelievable. We had given them a pretty tough job. Our situation was a rough one, and on top of the crazy heat, they handled everything so professionally and with an amazing attitude. No complaints. They just did it all. They worked so hard, and so well together. And then to top it off, they were so kind. This was a hard situation for me, and they just made it easier. One of the guys even found the one item I asked them to keep an eye out for within piles and piles of stuff. Barten Bro's.. I don't know where you found these guys, but thank you for them. And thank you to the girl in the office who initially took my call, and brought the guys masks. All these individuals represent your company well.. We'll be hiring you again.

**Update** (Since Google won’t allow you to review the same company more than once, even if it was for a different service).
July 2026: This company truly handles everything! No job is too big or too small for Barten Bros to want to jump in and help a customer out. What started as a mysterious hole in the asphalt of my driveway (which thankfully didn’t require additional attention), to “oh by the way, can you help us with a bowing fence and install a retaining wall?” These guys do everything! And once again, to say we were pleased with the finished product, is an absolute understatement. Our retaining wall project was long overdue so the crew at Barten Bros jumped in and knocked it out. They were meticulous, efficient, and incredibly thorough. Aside from the excellent work they do, what stands out most is how committed they are to their community and their customers. They genuinely care about the people they work for and put customer satisfaction at the top of their list. Thank you to the entire crew at Barten Bros for another great experience with top notch results!
May 2025: Barten Bros helped me out in a pinch. They were able to remove a heavy piece of furniture for me and were also able to transfer other furniture from a POD in my driveway to my basement, and all for a very small fee. Not only did they help me last minute, they were courteous, professional, accommodating and very careful with fragile items. They even asked if there was anything else they could help me out with while they were there. I highly recommend Barten Bros !

The crew was professional, arrived on time, and worked quickly. My only complaint is the pricing. They don’t provide the final price until everything is loaded because they charge based on how much space your items take up in the truck. I ended up paying $445 for my load, which was much higher than I expected. For around the same price, I realized afterward that I likely could have rented a 10-yard dumpster, filled it with even more debris over a few days, and gotten much better value. If you use this company, I’d recommend getting a firm price before they start loading so there are no surprises.

As a Realtor, I’m often handed the keys to homes that are part of an estate or require a complete clean-out before they can be listed. Whenever that’s the case, my first call is to Barton Brothers.

The dumpster was delivered when they said it would be and the night before pickup they called to confirm the pickup.

Mike & Miguel truly could not have been a bigger help.
Not only have we used them recently for basic excess garbage removal from a house Reno (where they arrived shortly after we called), they came immediately after we called them this time too.
We had ordered a new fridge from PC Richard that included haul away of an old, large fridge. After 2 attempts, PC Richard’s guys insisted it couldn’t be done. Once Mike from Barten Bros arrived, within minutes he assured us, “it can be done”
The fridge was up & out within 20 minutes of their arrival at our home. We could not be more grateful or recommend them enough.
Thanks again Mike & Miguel!

When I decided to put my house on the market, I hired Barten Bros. to help clean out the garage, attic, and other areas throughout the house to get it ready to "show". They were amazing! So, of course, they were the first ones I called when my house sold to help me with my move. Michael and Miguel showed up right on time to help me clean out the last remaining items and to leave my house in pristine "broom swept" condition for the new owners. They are a top notch organization! Highly recommend!

My son needed his yard cleaned up from junk thrown behind a shed in a house he just bought. I called Barten and they responded quickly. They kept me updated on arrival gave me a quote on site which was very reasonable and did an excellent job. After they left we decided we should have removed the metal shed and we called them back and they came back the same day with a different crew and they also did an excellent job. Would recommend them to 100%

I had an outstanding experience with Barten Bros Junk Removal, Demolition, Site Work, & Fencing. From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and incredibly easy to work with. They showed up on time, communicated clearly, and handled everything with care and precision.
The crew worked quickly but didn’t cut corners—they made sure the job was done right and left the area spotless when they were finished. It’s rare to find a company that combines this level of reliability, quality workmanship, and fair pricing.

Mike, Miguel and Alex came to clear out my father’s house after he passed. The garage and basement were full of junk. It probably would’ve taken me a week to clean it all out. They loaded up two trucks in four hours. And even made sure to do a final sweep of the garage floor to clean up some broken glass and other debris. The final price was right in line with their initial estimate. Worth every penny. I would highly recommend them for any kind of clean out work that is needed

Hi Dawn
I just wanted to thank you so much for accommodating my additional needs!
I know for you this is all in a day’s work—customers who underestimate their situation & with people who volunteered to help suddenly getting the flu—whereas, for me, it’s a traumatic experience.
I’ll wholeheartedly recommend BB to everyone. There is nothing among my things that is worth a lot—just stuff I’ve lived with for years & love. Seems so many people just want to do stuff on the cheap but dealing with professionals is worth the $$$
BTW number of books is approx 250+ mostly hardcover.

What an amazing experience. After the snow and ice storm we just had and trying to clear it myself I realized I needed help. I reached out to Barton Brothers and spoke with Dawn. I explained my situation and she was so helpful and answered all my questions. I was shocked that only a matter of moments after speaking to her I received a text stating they were on their way. I had thought I'd likely have to wait most of the day for them to come like most contractors but no I was wrong. After the text I went out to move my car and here they were already coming around the corner. I was shocked and elated all at the same time. There were 3 guys who came. The one gentleman I spoke with the most was Alex. What a great guy. He was so gracious. The guys started to work right away. They were so thorough and did such an amazing job. After removing a mountain of snow and thick ice they salted everything. I was obviously in such good hands. I highly recommend Barton Brothers. From beginning to end it was an absolute pleasure. They will definitely be my go to guys from here on out to help me when I'm in need. Check them out. You'll be glad you did. They are truly the BEST and local too. I'm in Point Pleasant, NJ. Thank you Barton Brothers.

I just moved to New Jersey and as I was looking for an affordable company to remove the bulky furniture that couldn’t fit in my new place. I came across Barten Bros company. They have really decent pricing and they were very punctual on time. The young gentlemen were very quick and knowledgeable and very friendly. They were even able to remove a broken refrigerator that was left here by the previous tenants. Sorry for this long speech but I recommend BARTEN BROS 💯%. Thank you guys 👍

The Barton Brothers truly saved the day for me! As a local realtor, last-minute situations arise, and this was one of them—a large amount of garbage needed to be removed before closing that same day. I called them at 6 AM on a Wednesday, and by 9:45 AM, everything was completely gone!
Thanks to their quick response and efficiency, the new owners were able to do their final walkthrough without a massive pile of garbage in front of the home. I can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and fast service. Highly recommend them for any junk removal needs!

Countless times Barten bros have helped our company provide smooth and professional garbage and debris removal. We count on them and they always deliver 👍 Today driver Brett used extreme caution on a paver driveway drop which shows how they care about each job they show up to . Where do I start…. Well honestly thats what we all said when we needed to have our giant 3 story property cleaned out for a sale and time was winding down. After knowing the owner Andrew for a few years we knew Barten Brothers were the guys to get the job done.
We scheduled the cleanout and immediately received text message confirmation of the booking. Two days before the job we recieved a phone call reminding us of the appointment with a window of arrival. The day of the job the Barten Brothers Team showed up on the jobsite promptly at 8am which was the beginning of there alloted window of arrival.
Andrew assured me he had the tools, crew and equipment to complete the job and not to worry. The crew immediately began working to remove all of the contents of the property being sure not to damage any walls, railings or corners of the house.
Everytime I would turn around another room was completed. It wasn’t long before the guys had cleaned out the entire property even sweeping up after themselves and double checking to make sure the customer (me) was satisfied and the job was completed.
It has been a long time since I have seen this level of professionalism and hardwork on the job site. After using Barten Brothers I can tell you there is nobody in the business that can do it better.

Barten Bros is a very reliable, fast, efficient, friendly and fairly priced business we’ve used several times for demo, junk removal, and dumpster rental. There’s no reason to go anywhere else. They are not a pop up junk removal business, they can and do many services and are highly equipped to take on a variety of challenges. Andrew and every crew member that has serviced our home has been pleasant and professional. They have gone above and beyond on a few occasions helping us stay on track with a full house renovation when we’ve hit obstacles, like the unpredicted need to pull a masonry staircase! It was quick and precise, so we seamlessly continued our siding job, thank you! We are fortunate they are a local business but they service a broad region.

Even on the day of demolition the guys onsite were very nice and took the time to answer all our questions. They helped so much with the paperwork needed for the town as well. Office staff was amazing. Use this company for your demo project!!!!

Barten Bros. Junk Removal, Demolition, Site Work & Fencing does what they advertise. They come on time as agreed, take whatever you point to (no matter large, heavy or light & small) and take it away at a fair price previously agreed. They do this politely and are carefull about not nicking walls. They also take credit cards right on the spot, when they are done..
I will definitely call them again for additional "stuff" I want to discard, as they make it, very easy. Thank you Barten Bros.for a great service.

My backyard was cluttered with everything from a futon cushion to old roofing shingles, plywood, chairs, and tables - you name it, it was in that pile. Their efficiency and dedication were truly impressive. If you need junk removal done right, look no further than Barten Bros!
P.S. - they owners have the CUTEST bulldog!!

The crew was on time, professional and courteous. They kept me apprised of the progress and the potential impact that would have on costs. There were no surprises. They took what could have been a highly stressful situation (cleaning out my mom's house after her passing) and made it not so bad. Can't say enough about the clew! Highly recommend.

Barten Bros did a great job today with removing our old shed and removing the junk from inside and behind it. Our yard looks much better now without the old shed. It was really easy to make an appointment with Dawn when I called and she was able to schedule us really quickly. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again

Look no further — Barten Bros is who to call for junk removal in Monmouth/Ocean Counties. They responded with a pickup within 24 hours and did a professional, courteous job. Work was completed in 30 minutes! And their pricing is easy to understand (priced by the size of the truckload (ie full, half, etc) so there’s no funny business. A top service contractor in my opinion!

These guys did an amazing job in a short period of time today removing large heavy pieces of furniture and exercise equipment from my basement along with a ton of other “junk” that accumulated in our basement over the past 35 years. Extremely professional and courteous from the very first phone call and very reasonably priced. If u have junk to get rid these are your guys!

Barten Bros was great! They cleaned out a huge storage unit for us (10x30 and packed to the gills). From the initial intake and estimate process all the way to finishing the job, they were top notch. It was very professional. Dawn in the office was super responsive and great about scheduling. The pickup team was Brandon and Alex. They were on time, worked quickly, helped me sort out what was being removed and what was staying, fit everything in the space they said they would, and cleaned everything up! We could not be happier with the service.

Barten Bros did a fantastic job removing our extra clutter around the house! Their prices are reasonable and they were also very careful when going through the house to make sure that they grabbed everything we needed out before they left. We got rid of a busted up grill, some patio furniture and a large couch as well as some other random junk that piled up in storage and was taking up space. They were in and out in under an hour!

Dawn was very helpful getting initial estimates via pictures; actual cost came in lower and they were kind enough to apply a coupon.
Garry arrived on time, with another gentleman I'm sorry I cannot spell the name. Both were very friendly, professional and completed the job quickly.
I would certainly use Barten Bros again if needed.
Thank you to everyone I contacted with for a good experience.

Barten Bros team was prompt and professional. They asked me to show them what was going and took it from there. Worked fast, smart, and careful. It was a breath of fresh air getting the service I wanted without any hiccups. Price was fair for what was removed. As they charge by the amount loaded, they could easily place items in such a way as to fill the truck, but they compacted it nicely. Highly recommend.

My husband and I are seniors and we needed to have a very heavy couch junked. When I called Barten Bros a very pleasant customer service rep greeted me and answered all my questions. She took all my information and scheduled service for the end of the week. During the time before my service I was being updated by text & emails on my status. This was helpfull and great! On date of service I received a call that the team would be here in 20 minutes. They were on time and moved out the couch expeditiously .
Thank you

The Barten brothers were contacted as a last minute effort to clear a house before placing it for sale. What would have taken weeks for us took the guys a couple of hours. We ended up with multiple offers well over asking price, and I contribute that to having a clear basement, attic and garage for buyers to envision for their things. The guys were polite and cleaned up after themselves. I will continue to recommend for my clients!
