Barten Bros. Junk & Clean Up’s customer-centric model ensures that we are always keeping an eye out for important papers or other valuables that may have been inadvertently placed amongst other items of lesser value or ‘junk’. Experience has taught us that a majority of our Hoarding customers experience a range of emotions while going through the clean-up, clean out or declutter process. These emotions can often take place repeatedly over a short period of time and more often than not, being able to offer our customer an important paper or valuable we found while cleaning serves as an excellent ‘peace offering’ allowing us to demonstrate we care for our customer and the importance of our work in regaining some control of their life and home.

Barten Bros. Junk & Clean Up strives for a holistic approach to hoarding. The process is easier and success much higher if we have the two following pillars in place: 1. The person who collects realizes the detriment such behavior causes and wants help. 2. The family is involved and supportive of the plan.

Hoarding clean ups can often take time and require patience from everyone. It is important to realize when dealing with a Hoarding situation the importance of maintaining people’s privacy and to treat everyone with respect throughout the process.
